YouTube just recommended a 47-minute documentary about the history of one specific traffic circle in suburban Ohio, and somehow you watched the whole thing. Nobody asked for this level of algorithmic intimacy, and yet here we are — being understood more deeply by a recommendation engine than by most people we know. This is the hyper-personalization apocalypse, and it is both incredible and deeply unsettling.
